Throughout her nearly five-decade-long career, Chapman has gained recognition as a successful painter and sculptor, working with oils, pastels, watercolors, steel, and bronze. Her artistic style is characterized by a focus on color and space, with a frequent attraction to seaside scenes and objects. Her works are collected by private and corporate collections worldwide, and she has been published by notable institutions such as Christie's Contemporary Art and the Pompidou Centre in Paris. Chapman is internationally recognized, with her art displayed and appreciated in major art hubs like New York, London, Paris, and Tokyo. She has been a resident of Carmel, California, where she maintains her home and studio.
