Condition: Good condition with faint scratches to the paper when you hold it up to the light from natural age, however not visible to the naked eye. Miniscule tear at base when can be covered when framing.

 

About the Artist - Claude Viseux

Claude Viseux (1927–2008) was a French abstract painter and sculptor. Born in Paris, he initially studied architecture but shifted to fine arts. Viseux was associated with the Art Informel and Nouvelle École de Paris movements. In the 1950s, he explored geometric abstraction influenced by constructivism and later developed a personal style marked by vibrant colors and dynamic forms. He participated in the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles and gained recognition for his unique approach. Viseux's work evolved, encompassing sculptures and reliefs, and he gained international acclaim. His contributions to the art world include bridging abstraction and figuration, leaving a lasting impact on the post-war French artistic scene. Claude Viseux passed away in 2008, leaving behind a rich legacy in abstract art.
